Mohammed was born
and raised in Syria. Activism is in his blood. His father became involved in the Syrian anti-government movement in 1965 and when the Arab Spring began in Egypt and Tunisia, Mohammed felt this same call. Mohammed quickly became involved by organizing demonstrations and producing media reports about the crisis. After being arrested twice and having his brother’s safety threatened, Mohammed decided to leave Syria. He moved to the US in 2013, where continues his activist work.
